Space
For thousands of years or so people have been obsessed with the concept of space. They have written movies and books about it. They have taken pictures and painted paintings where space was the object of emphasis. There have been jokes, comics and cartoons made about it.. People have even been to space..
When it comes to design however, that is not the type of space we are talking about (I was looking for a good reasont to include those cool pictures to the left in my website).. Websters defines space as "an empty area between things". Which basically means any thing not occupied by something is considered space when it comes to design..
The two images to the right show a creative way to include space into a design. This makes simple designs asthetically pleasing to look at. The amount of space you have in your design is vital to its sucess. Too much and you have an abstract piece of art, if thats what your business is about then that can be a good thing if not well.. Too littel and your design can look cluttered. The two images below are exampes of what i mean. The one on the left shows too much design whil the one on the right shows not enoug. This goes back to Balance.
